How to convert Ethereum's MATIC to POL?

As announced by Polygon, POL will replace MATIC as the native gas and staking token. Here is a guide on how to convert your ERC20 MATIC tokens on the Ethereum network to POL using CoinWallet.

Please ensure your CoinWallet version is 1.1.31.365 or above, otherwise you will have to add POL in Wallet Settings > Crypto Settings manually.

1. Go to DAPP tab (or Browser tab on iOS) and visit Visit https://portal.polygon.technology/pol-upgrade.

2. Connect your wallet via wallet connect.

3. Tap Approve

4. Set the amount you would like to convert and tap Upgrade.

5. Sign / Approve the transaction, this process will take a while to complete.

6. You will see a completion notice once the transaction is confirmed. Head back to home screen and you should be able to see your freshly swapped POL.

7. (Optional) Add POL token in Add Crypto Asset screen if you don't see it in home page (Please ensure your CoinWallet has been updated to version 1.1.31.365 or above).
